Any idea how I can treat this please? Had this for a few months, might be age related ( I am 55 ). They never come to a proper spot, apologies for the photo!
Cleanse and moisture daily. Cleared up last month for the week I was on a winter sun holiday.

I don't know if it's related but my rosacea has now retreated - after Soolantra - to appearing only on my nose, in the form of small red spots. Could it be rosacea?

Too harsh a cleanser stressing skin and possibly too much sugar?

Maybe, can you just get it?

I don't have much sugar. I might try a more gentle cleanser. It's interesting that it cleared up on holiday. Trying to work out if I used anything different.

It's the UV rays. I had a friend as a teenager who kept her acne at bay by going on a sunbed 3min a week

Looks like you've developed mild rosacea. You'll need a topical cream from the dr and that should help it

Getting a Dr app is sadly nigh on impossible. Any ideas that I could use to self treat?

@Greengr no - needs the topical antibiotic I'm afraid

You possibly don't need a face to face appointment. Tell them you believe it is rosacea and ask them to prescribe. It's a relatively mild treatment so no real reason why they wouldn't - offer pics if they agree to look at them

You can't use self help stuff - no cleanser or balm will clear it up - you do need the right stuff

You can get prescription skincare from Dermatica or Skin & Me

WhatFreshHeckle · 06/04/2023 20:24

I was going to say rosacea as well.

I've got it and it can be a right pain in the bum. Mine is flaring a bit which I think may be due to the pollen. My triggers seem to be stress, hormones, pollen and red wine

I’d recommend trying Skin and Me or Dermatica if you can’t get an appointment. You can send more photos and they should tell you what they recommend. (They’re actual dermatologists). The first month is usually just to pay for postage so it’s worth giving it a go to see what you think.
