Normally, I go for waxing, but going to the salon is becoming too much for me, especially with t young kids. I've tried waxing myself, but it was just too much effort and messy, even though I liked the results. My skin is super sensitive and ends up with bruises after waxing. I've also tried shaving my legs and armpits, but the hair regrows very quickly, and the stubble is very prickly.
The hair on my legs is lighter, so I might get away with shaving, but my main issue is with my armpit hair. Especially as summers are coming, I am looking for a better solution. A few friends suggested laser hair removal, but I hesitate due to cost reasons.
I am wondering about using an IPL device or epilator for my underarms and maybe for my legs. I am thinking of getting the Philips lumea. I just want to know what people's experience has been. Is Philips lumea results far better than standard epilators? How often do I need to repeat the session with lumea? Would I expect much pain?
