New glasses broken

I bought a pair of glasses from Specsavers a month ago.

They cost me £150. I wear contacts all day, so have only worn them for 2-3 hours each night to watch telly.

Woken up this morning, picked them up and they have literally split in 2. I haven't hit them on anything, haven't sat on them. 100% haven't damaged them while just watching TV in them!

Obviously I'm going to have to go back in and see if they will mend them or replace them for me but what are my chances of them actually doing this? I guess they have no proof that I haven't been throwing them around my living room but they must have been faulty.

They can actually tell, I stood on mine and broke them once and when I took them back in saying they’d fallen apart they looked at the stress of the joint and said it was consistent with being stepped on

You can only ask can’t you

Hopefully they can see that the break is down to a fault and will sort it.

I would completely understand if I had been rough with them but I barely wear them! I even hide them high up each night to make sure my kids don't get to them.

They're really good in my experience.

Specsavers are franchisees so the service provided will vary from store to store. You can only ask and see what they say......

So you were trying to scam a free pair? I’m glad they called you out on it tbh, it’s fraud.

I had a pair that snapped in the middle, from ss,
they replaced them.

Chill out, i couldn’t remember what I’d done and it was just the screw that had snapped. Fraud 🤣
