Do I need purple shampoo?

Just that really. I’ve had blonde highlights through my greying hair to blend regrowth.

Do I need to use the purple shampoos and conditioners? My hair is pretty dry, post menopausal so am also needing to rethink hair care in general.

I have used purple shampoo in the past, I think Fanola is the best one. Although I prefer shrine drops now, which I mix in with conditioner to tone my hair. I use the white blonde shade. It’s much less drying this way.

(Although I am toning my white/grey hair, not blonde, but I think it does the same job on both)

If your hair is dry, go for purple conditioners, not shampoos. I use fanola shampoo and once it's done, I'm buying conditioner. I forgot how awful SLS is for my hair.

Have you tried olaplex? Google it - they do a purple shampoo x

I like Elvive purple conditioning mask, it's very moisturising. Don't leave it on more than five mins though unless you want to look like you've had a blue rinse!
