Vinted: Parcel size help!

I am new to selling on Vinted and uploaded a few bits today.

A denim jacket has now been sold. When I listed it, I put the parcel size as 'medium' for Yodel delivery. Do you think this is right or do you think it should have been 'large' for a denim jacket? I can't seem to find the dimensions online anywhere. Also, should I contact the buyer and say I am sending it but concerned the parcel price isn't right? Or should I refund the buyer now and explain the situation and alter the parcel price?

Any help appreciated! Thank you

You should be fine with medium - there should be sizes listed on yodels page. I think it's more the weight side 2bh.

I've sent multiple things as medium - even bundles so I'm sure a jacket would be fine

Here's the medium postage options on vinted with sizes and weight x

Medium will be fine. I sell almost everything as a small parcel you can get away with quite a lot surprisingly but for a denim jacket I would have gone medium.

Thank you so much. I have weighed it and it's 800g, so hopefully I am safe!

Is it fairly easy to see stuff on vinted? I downloaded the app a couple of weeks back and now I'm going to go through clothes to sell. I was looking at some plastic parcel bags on amazon, are those the sort of things people use to send items?

TokyoSushi · 03/04/2023 15:50

You'll be fine, I've sold absolutely loads on Vinted, I don't usually give the parcel size a great deal of thought other than an approximation and it's always been fine!

@Denise82 most people just reuse packaging or use a thick bag for life style carrier bag!

As a seller you need to check parcel sizes when you list the time. They can be found under “parcel size” when you list an item for sale. If you select small, you can see the blue “see sizing and compensation details” hyperlink. Click that and it will give you the acceptable limits of “small” parcels for the delivery providers. Select medium and the the link it will show you medium, large and large etc. If you bundle I believe there is also an option for small heavy items too. Once you get the hang of Vinted it’s really easy to list things for sale, but it’s finicky when you’re used to something like eBay.

@Denise82 I bought a load of postage bags from Amazon as I sell quite a bit and it makes life a lot easier.
