Quick question about their sizing

I've seen a pair on vinted size 14 curvy

Is this the same as a curvy uk 18? Assuming curvy is good for pear shaped?

I live in the US and shop there and I would say yes like a UK 18 and yes, curvy is pear shaped.

Usually yes, US14 is equivalent to UK18, but American Eagle tends to run big. I used to exclusively wear their jeans when I was a UK8 and would wear a size 2 or sometimes even 0 in their jeans. It depends on the material/range, the "super super stretch" and "ne(x)t level stretch" are much more forgiving in fit.

Curvy jeans are a more prominent pear shape, with more space in the hips/thighs. If you usually have gaping at the waist, these will fit better.

I do get gapping sometimes and am ample of thigh. 🤞
