Bras for fuller bust

After yet another underwire coming out of a cheapy Primark bra today I need to buy some new ones.

I'm a 38G, prefer moulded cups and plunge style. Where should I be looking?
I would buy non-wired but I don't know if they'd do an awful for me!

Thanks in advance for any recommendations anyone can give.

Have a look on the bra stop website. They're always my first port of call, good quality and reasonably cheap

trickyfriendsone · 02/04/2023 12:53

Bravissimo is also good but can be expensive

AnnaMagnani · 02/04/2023 13:02

Get a fitting at Bravissimo. The bra will fit properly and last longer before getting out of shape.

LadyGaGasPokerFace · 02/04/2023 13:04

I’m a 38H and get mine from Marks.

Mumof1andacat · 02/04/2023 13:04

Brastop.com curvy kate has loads of styles. I wear a 38gg or 36h. I wear curvy kate everyday under wire. Wash and wear so well.

goldenotter · 02/04/2023 13:05

I go to M & S and keep trying on different ones until I find one that fits. Their fitting service is awful but they have decent bras including larger sizes. I then buy two or three to keep me going. It's an annual visit!

WhatFreshHeckle · 02/04/2023 13:05

Was coming on to recommend Brastop, but have been beaten to it 😄

I like Flirtelle and Curvy Kate

nancyglancy · 02/04/2023 13:05

Marks have upped their game with larger bras that are reasonably priced in recent years.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 02/04/2023 13:05

Elomi

Xrays · 02/04/2023 13:07

Get fitted at Bravissimo and try on their bras to find ones you like and then look for them new with tags on eBay for a fraction of the price. 🙈😁

CheeseMeltCracker · 02/04/2023 13:13

Fantasie - good quality, my favourite
Freya - young and vibrant styles
Panache - good quality
Curvy Kate - cheap and cheerful
Bravissimo - own stuff has variable quality but they stock a few brands
Rigby and Peller - £££
Elomi - very impressed so far

Hazelnuttella · 02/04/2023 13:17

I always get Freya, they’re the only ones that seem robust enough and the elastic lasts well. I find other brands stretch a lot in the back after a while.

Magpiecomplex · 02/04/2023 13:20

Bravissimo Satine is a good moulded cup plunge bra. Although I'm 36JJ so my options are more limited than yours! Curvy Kate I find a bit flimsy but again that could be because I'm close to the end of their range.

CoffeeBeansGalore · 02/04/2023 13:23

Try Boux Avenue. You can get some good deals in the sales.

Rebel2 · 02/04/2023 13:25

Elomi are my fave and I've never had a wire come out

woodhill · 02/04/2023 13:26

Belle lingerie are good

John Lewis also have a good range

LookAtUsNow · 02/05/2023 07:53

Thanks all! Lots of options to look at now.

Notellinganyone · 02/05/2023 07:56

Firstly are you sure your band size is correct? Most people wear a band size that’s way too big. Secondly if you are a large cup size you need decent quality bras. Prima Donna are brilliant but v expensive but Freya, Fantasie, Curvy Kate etc also ok. You need a proper fitting- NOT M and S who are notoriously crap.

Octopus45 · 08/07/2023 21:00

I should also say that M&S have improved their fitting. They no longer add the 4/5 inches and I've noticed that they do more smaller band size/larger cup size bras than they used to.

Darklane · 08/07/2023 21:41

George at Asda. I’m 36GG, they’re really comfy, never had a wire come out. Been better than expensive ones I’ve bought in the past.

HideTheCroissants · 09/07/2023 14:28

I wear 32FF and like the Fantasie bras with side support. I’ve never had a wire come out.

Bananaman123 · 09/07/2023 18:08

Elomi bras are so comfortable

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 09/07/2023 18:37

36G. Fantasie are my go-to bra brand.

GettingStuffed · 09/07/2023 20:30

M&S don't go up in cup size to a decent size
