Help, I am early thirties and have quite a red ish complexion but for the last few months have had awful spots all over chin and even on cheeks. Does anyone have any recommendations for an easy skincare routine that can eliminate spots.

Two toddlers so a distinct lack of sleep prob not helping situation x

I’d go to the gp.

I’ve been struggling with my skin recently. I’ve had some success with the Carbon Theory charcoal soap and overnight detox serum. I also use The Ordinary salicylic acid masque twice a week. My skin has really improved since I started.

I’ve been tempted with the ELF magnetic mask, but haven’t gotten around to buying it yet.

I'd try CeraVe wash and moisturiser for a bit and if no improvement I'd see the GP as sounds like rosacea.

Windy1234 · 02/04/2023 18:03

Thanks everyone will try some of the suggestions before gp. I'm not sure I am worth bothering gp as it's just cosmetic and can be covered with make up x

Are you 100% sure it isn't rosacea?

Windy1234 · 02/04/2023 18:22

No there is a good possibility it could be rosaecea I think, is there anything that can be done if it is? I thought it would just be make up x

Roseacea needs medical treatment. How many female drs do you see with acne or bad skin? I work in healthcare and the answer is not many.

AnnaMagnani · 02/04/2023 18:47

There is a lot of medical treatment out there for rosacea!

Trip to GP or a look at Dermatica/Skin+Me.

Okay I will maybe book an appt with gp then, it's just so hard to get one these days you feel like you have to have something seriously wrong.

I tried skin and me for three months without any visible difference, I know you prob need to be on it longer but for the price I couldn't justify it x
