Love this Ghost dress but it's over budget

Looking for a dress to wear to a wedding.
I love this Ghost dress but it's about £100 over budget.

Has anyone seen anything similar, or can suggest what shops to look in?

Is it just that you have set a budget or that paying £100 more will cause a problem?
If it’s the first one buy the dress, any other dress will be the dress you bought because you didn’t buy the one you wanted

I bought a similar dress by Ghost from TKMax. It was only £80. The tag read £260.

I have the money, I just can't justify spending so much on a dress I won't wear very often - especially as my boys also need new outfits.
So much £££ for a single day. DS1 will get a lot of wear out of new suit as he's stopped growing, but DS2 is 14 and growing and changing his look every 2 minutes!

I actually just need to go shopping - to actual shops.
Maybe I should prioritise that over other things I like/need to do.

That sort of tea dress doesn't suit me for some reason.

Justify to who?
Just buy it (as long as it won’t leave you short)

Buy the one you love - and sell it, once worn on Vinted or though a local dress agency. You get to wear something you love and you get some of your money back, making it more palatable cost wise.

The Silk Fred Alicia looks actually like they’ve gone for a Ghost dupe.

I think it's quite different. The sleeves and the bodice. I do particular like the Ghost sleeves. I think the top of the Silk Fred might have too much going on.

They do very similar in shein! The quality is amazing!!!! For half the price!!!!

Dress you linked, but in pink, is on eBay (new) but appreciate you want a dark colour.

Not the same style but this is also satin and a similar colour. ChiChi usually has some nice options for weddings

The dress is 25% off at John Lewis.
I also just got paid.
My son doesn't have a football match on Saturday.
The footie team we support are also not playing on Saturday.

This means I can order the dress, collect it in store, try it and if it's no good look around some more in real shops.

So that's what I've done. Happy days.

@GhostRunner70 could you rent a suit for your ds? DH rented one recently and they had them all available in child & teen sizes too
