Fat transfer to under eye area

I am 48 and have really bad under eye hollows. I had filler a couple of years ago but with hindsight I probably don't want to try it again. From looking at old photos I think some of the filler migrated to below my under eye corner and sat halfway down my nose. It wasn't really obvious and has gone now but I don't think I want to try the procedure again. I was watching a YouTube video and the surgeon on this video said fat transfers are better for women in their 40s and 50s and under eye fillers are better for younger women so thought I'd look into fat transfer. Has anyone had this and want to share what their experience was like?

Interesting.
I have also read about fat transfers for the face generally.

I suppose whereas filler can always be dissolved (if you're not satisfied) once the fat is transferred presumably you're stuck with it?

Oh god good point. Might be a bit scared to have a permanent fat transfer. Also the doctor's website I looked at for this said they transfer a bit more than they think they need so will overfill and this will reduce over time. Hmmm.
However when I had my under eye filled with fillers the doctor said it was actually a really difficult area to inject with hylaronidase to reverse if needed so perhaps fillers aren't that reversible either.

I agree with blackswan. Difficult area the tear trough.
