GHD brush or dual

Morning all,

Has anyone bought one of these? My birthday coming up and would like to treat myself to one of these.

The dual apparently straightens from wet?
The brush- is it any good? Why not just straighteners?

Any experiences.
TIA

I have the brush and I do like it, tames my mad hair in 10 mins not perfectly but acceptable to go out. I am VERY tempted with the dual due to being able to use it from wet.

It blow dries first so it doesn’t fry your hair, then you can switch to straighten/curl.

I have the brush and I love it. I can’t brush and straighten simultaneously due to health probs so it’s a huge bonus. Does my curly hair to straight in 5 mins minimal effort.

With the brush- do I need to dry it first then use it just like a straightener? Might as well buy straighteners then?

I just let my hair air dry or dry it upside
down minimal effort then use the GHD brush the ends come out well too so I rarely bother with straighteners so it's an effort saving for me. I really can't blow dry with a brush I just can't get the nozzle on top of the brush I can't even follow the brush down with the tangle teezer drying brush I just can't

Yes exactly the same. Can't blow dry myself.

Hmmm....I'll see if I get any more replies. I'm assuming the brush isn't going to give as sleek effect than the dual or straighteners. Don't mind that, as long as the frizz goes

Good timing, I'm looking at the dual also. Be great to hear of real people's take on it not just the 'influencers'

I meant I can't even follow the tangle teezer drying brush down with the dryer but I was obviously understood lol

I just wash mine the night before and air dry. The brush makes it very smooth and sleek. Miracle!

Right- I ordered the brush. Promise I'll come back and let you know. Flowers

Hi I've just seen in GHD insta page there is a giveaway fyi xxxx

I have the Glide brush and it is v good. I prefer the effect to straighteners. It's bouncier and less poker straight. I leave hair to air dry naturally then just run the Glide brush over it. Only takes a minute.

tryingsomethingnew · 10/04/2023 00:10

Hi!

My opinion is.... it's good. Not life changing (for me) but worth it. Here goes:

Gets very hot, and I can do my hair or daughters hair much quicker. Don't need to go over parts like we do with straighteners.

Gives a more natural look. As it's a brush, it looks more natural than seas straight with straighteners. This is a pro or a con. For her hair it's great, for mine....i prefer dead straight.

Very easy to use, I took someone's tip of going down once on the outside of the hair but also once underneath. If that makes sense.

Overall, I like it and am glad we got it. Just not sure if I'll put the straighteners away yet.
