Okay, so a while back I used this shower gel at someone's house

I was in and out and forgot to take down the name of it -

It was so luxurious feeling but lathered 🧼 really well on the skin, I thought shower oils didn't do that?

Anyway, I don't know if it was a shower gel or shower oil. I loved the texture and it was really really easy to shave with!

I know lots of people find shaving with condition or shaving foam best but I prefer something that really lathers. Does anyone know of a similar product?

It smelt very nice but I was most impressed with the texture and how it felt. Thanks so much for any help

What did the bottle look like?
What sort of smell was it?
What colour was the gel?

shimmerondown · 29/03/2023 19:39

@FayCarew I can't even remember Sad was attending a funeral at the time and so didn't pay too much attention but realised even then how amazing it was

Rituals have a lovely selection of shower gels that foam up very well. They’re reasonably priced and a little goes a long way. My favourite is the Sakura (cherry blossom) but they do loads.

I think it's the Tesco Everyday Value one, OP.

SilverGlitterBaubles · 29/03/2023 19:44

There is a l'occitane almond shower oil. I cannot remember how much it lathers but it is really nice and smells great.

Other than that maybe Molten Brown?

FayCarew · 29/03/2023 19:45

L'Occitane and Korres ones are nice.

Chickenwing2 · 29/03/2023 19:47

Imperial leather foamburst. I was so excited first time i tried it as the texture was so nice. Not too expensive either!

FayCarew · 29/03/2023 19:49

Isn't that an aerosol, @Chickenwing2 ? It's nice but the packaging isn't recyclable.

I’m in the bath so have just tried lathering it up! It doesn’t lather massively but because it’s an oil it doesn’t need too. It still feels silky on the skin and smells gorgeous.

SummaLuvin · 29/03/2023 19:58

Another vote for the rituals shower foam, smells great and turns into a beautiful velvety foam. I also really rate their shower oil which definitely becomes a lovely creamy texture, but not lathering. I was lucky enough to be gifted a Diptyque shower oil which was stunning! (though also more like a cream texture not lather). Not that expensive but I really like imperial leather shower gels you can pick up for £1, particularly like the Mermazing scent.

Squirrelsnut · 29/03/2023 19:58

The Elemis creamy one is delightful but ££.

Could it be Badedas luxury Indulgent Shower gel or Bubble Bath Gel, with Natural Horse Chestnut Extract
Smells devine and is slightly jelly-like when it comes out of the bottle.

Please help and recommend an nice shower gel?

No, but I bloody love this stuff! Best smell ever

I love the l’occitaine almond shower oil mentioned above. It’s really lovely. Pretty much the only thing I buy from there.

Also if you like the earthy woody smell of oud, there’s a newish molton brown shower gel called Rose Dunes which has an incredible scent, lasts for ages (roses and oud mixed).

Also really like a body shop one Tahitian Tiare - but I’ve just googled and it looks like it’s been discontinued. V sad.

Plus loads of lush ones. Mostly my hoarded discontinued favourites.

Defiantlynot41 · 29/03/2023 23:48

Almost certainly not the one, but Clarins Tonic shower gel is amazing, smells beautiful

Or the Neom shower gel is also lovely

I think L'Occitane also do the shower oil in another fragrance if you don't like Almond, or Jo Malone do a shower oil in Lime Basil & Mandarin

MumOf2workOptions · 30/03/2023 00:02

@shimmerondown
Why don't you just ask who you were staying with??

I agree. I hate the Rituals shower gel aerosol packaging.

Another shout out for L'Occitane Almond Shower oil. It's divine
