Prom Dresses

Hello all, dd has her end of year 11 prom coming up. I had ordered a dress that she chose from Hebeos, she had looked at the site and it says they offer returns. Except they don’t, they are absolute shysters, I should have checked trustpilot as the experiences there echo my own. I think it highly unlikely I will ever get my money back. The dress didn’t fit and wasn’t the same as pictured - horrible fabric.
So now the hunt goes on. She wants a full skirted floor length dress with a fitted bodice, a ball gown type dress rather than a long slim column. She likes red, or green. Five foot five but still growing so creeping towards five foot six, size 4-6, 28DD bra.
I literally have no idea at all where to look ! I have looked at the John Lewis website but there wasn’t anything right.
Help !

Shein stuff is made to order every single time..... that's why it takes ages to arrive. The dress I bought is now out of stock. Not saying I fully know about Goddivas working practices but their website is much more reassuring that Sheins. How does anyone really know the working conditions of employees for any clothing purchased?

Shein stuff is not made to order every single time. That is a preposterous claim.

I'd wager that Goddiva uses the exact same factories that Shein does and condemning others for shopping at Shein whilst telling people to shop at Goddiva, another Chinese selling platform isn't reasonable. Goddiva won't be paying the machinists more than Shein.

You are absolutely right that we don't know about the places that these clothes are coming from but you are the one saying 'please do not recommend Shein' whilst recommending Goddiva because you have had the wool pulled over your eyes by photos of the dresses in London. The prices of the dresses are more of a clue than anything else.

I just wanted to update by adding we received DD prom dress from Stacees and it is lovely material and fits perfectly. Satin, corset and built in bra.
It was approx 3 weeks from order to arrival

I ordered a standard size to begin with then changed my mind and emailed her exact measurements and it's fits perfectly

I'm very relieved because this thread definitely had me worried
