Wedding husband attire advice

Hello all

We have been invited to a wedding, my husband wants to wear some new trousers he bought at Christmas, they are bright pink (hot pink/cerise) suit trousers.

He is tall and slim and looks great in them.

Any ideas on what he can wear with for a smart wedding in October time?
Maybe a broken suit?
Any suggestions welcomed

What cut of trousers? Do you have a link/picture?

My first thought was a cream or dove grey shirt possibly with a relaxed jacket in darker grey or slate blue? Something like this?
