Do Jack Wolfskin really take three weeks to deliver?

Just that - ordered a bag in the sale I was after to use this weekend. It's taken about four days to get it out of the warehouse and today's email explains it could take Parcel Force three weeks to deliver it.

This is the usual process, they're not apologising for any hold up. If I'd ordered to collect from a shop it would only have taken four days (I wish I'd seen that option tbf). It just all seems a bit slow for a brand like this these days?

Wonder if there's any chance of getting it in time. Has anyone had experience of buying online from Jack Wolfskin recently?

I've used Jack Wolfskin quite a bit pre-Brexit, and I just ordered from them again to find just as you have. I've yet to get a decent answer from them as tot he reason for the slow deliveries but it would seem to be Brexit related and issues with the import of goods to the UK. I have submitted a formal complaint about my own wait, but whether I'll ever get a response is another matter.

If it's being dispatched from a UK warehouse and you're in the UK, seems bit crap. If it's being shipped from Indonesia/ China/ India, then delay is understandable. If it's being shipped from Germany, then a transport delay is quite possible.
I'm guessing the four days delay in dispatch was in part due to Easter, they may also have staffing issues, combination of staff illness, not being able to recruit etc etc.
I do think they produce excellent outdoor apparel, and nothing like as expensive as their competitors (Beghaus, NorthFace, RAB) and I find their waterproof gear much, much better than middle of the road competitors (Mountain warehouse, Peter Storm etc).
It might turn up before the weekend, I think companies tend to give maximum wait, but if it's with ParcelsForce you'll probably get it tomorrow.

I forgot I posted this Grin. Fortunately it came in just time and didn't appear to have travelled from out of the UK.

I know they've got to cover their backs but it did take a lot longer at their end than you usually expect!
