I used to swear by Rimmel Insta Fix and Matte translucent powder but you can't seem to buy it apart from one seller on Amazon charging over the odds for it, has it been discontinued? any recommendations for any cheap but decent matte powders to stop me looking like a butterball turkey.

I use the Collection Lasting Perfection loose matte powder. It's £2.50, well reviewed and I've been really pleased with it. It gives a nice blurring effect and is invisible on the skin. Total bargain.

Try the Elf halo glow setting powder. Its lovely, not cakey at all, and incredibly light. Gives an effect a bit like an insta filter!

Rimmel "Stay Matte" is amazingly good, available in a few different colours including 'translucent'. I get mine from Superdrug - £4.49.
