I am coming to the end of my NYX bronzer and I am looking to replace it with something a bit nicer (it’s too matte).

Requirements are:
(i) lasting power (don’t want to carry around / reapply make-up),
(ii) a tiny bit of shimmer (will wear bronzer on holiday next week and through summer when going out), and
(iii) suits olive skin that tans easily.

Preference for powder but open to suggestions of cream bronzers.

I like the look of the Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess one - has anyone tried it?

The Guerlain one looks incredible, but alas, Boots don’t stock Guerlain.

Thanks in advance!

Your best bet will be to go into boots and have a look and try of some of them. I got a No7 palette as a free gifts once which had a beautiful bronzey/peachy shade in it, so maybe try No7. I also love Benefit Hoola.

I like the EL Bronze Goddess one, I had it ages ago and it was massive.

I’ve been pleased with Benefit Hula which I bought in Boots recently, but it might be too matte for you

LadyEloise1 · 28/03/2023 09:29

Have you tried the Chanel cream bronzer ?
They now do different shades though the original suits me.

100% Chanel Les Beiges bronzer, it's the only expensive item of makeup I re buy

It's the only expensive makeup item I rebuy too.

I love Benefit Hula but it’s matte so may not be suitable.

Thanks for the suggestions!

I’m intrigued by the Chanel cream bronzer, I’ll definitely have to check that out.

Chanel les beiges

Usernamen · 29/03/2023 13:15

Stupid question, but would a cream bronzer like Les Beiges work just on my skin? I don’t wear foundation, tinted moisturer, CC cream or anything like that.

On the Chanel website the video shows the model putting a base on first before the bronzer, but I’m wondering if it works just as well without a base?

I don't use a foundation under the bronzer. I just swirl it around my face, neck and décolletage with a very large bronzer brush I got in Penneys ( the original Primark - called Penneys in Ireland ) for a €5.

LadyEloise1 · 29/03/2023 16:51

@Usernamen it's not really creamy. It's quite solid in the Chanel pot.
Boots 17 and W7 cosmetics had a dupe of it a few years ago.

superplumb · 06/04/2023 17:19

Definitely chanel. I use it last on top of all my make up and people tell me how well I look. I look dead without it

Shopper727 · 06/04/2023 17:35

I have a lovely too faced bronzer with 2 halves one dark and the other lighter/glowy it’s lovely not sure if boots does it mind you but it’s lovely. I also use the Chanel les beiges and it’s really nice too
