Smarten up my work look

I feel I’m looking a bit slobby at the moment.

I generally wear chinos and a jumper but the change of weather is going mean I need jumper less options

my chinos need replacing. I’m losing weight (slowly) and feel a bit between sizes. I’m probably a large 16 at the minute

big bust and a lot of weight on my middle section. Tucking in look quite ‘matronly’ on me I feel and untucked really adds to the slob look. So I really struggle with tops.

I also generally wear trainers and would like a slightly smarter look or pair for spring.

hate drawing attention to myself so don’t want to dramatically change and draw loads of questions so subtle changes if possible!

I love a dress at work. Although it means you need a few more, an you cannot rewear a bottom half like you can with trousers, but dresses are easy, comfy, and avoid the tucking in problem. As a big busted lady myself, I go for a v neck, and get as fitted as I dare for the waist, it does look better than a shapeless tent.

Following with interest. I only have to go in one day a week but have developed a uniform of smart black jeans, boots and a long top. I carry my weight around my middle so dresses scare me - I tend to go for the tent like ones rather than anything fitted.

dresses are a good shout, they do scare me too though.

A blazer/smart jacket - gives you shape and structure and you look smarter straight away and can wear pretty much any top underneath. Try several on of different lengths/styles to see what works best for you

Thanks I mainly buy on Vinted but might be worth while trying some on to try and find a style the works

I am a similar size and shape and always wear midi wrap dresses.
