Talk to me about solid shampoo.

I've just had an ad pop up on Facebook for solid shampoo, conditioner soap and body scrub which all came with a caddy for the shower. It looks fantastic but was over £100. Has anyone seen anything cheaper. I know you can buy shampoo bars but it was the shower caddy that I particularly liked.

I just use soap bars. Then spray in conditioner.

I've tried loads of different ones and have found Ethique to be the best by far. I used to have to wash my hair everyday and can now go 5 days if necessary. I'm a big fan!

Well, if you have the cash knocking around, and it's worth it to you, then go for it - that's the point of working and earning money, to have nice things when you can afford them. But you can get the caddies or very similar in any hardware or bathroom shop. I use ethique bar shampoo and conditioner and friendly soap for everything else. They are a fraction of the price.

I like the look of that caddy but won't the bars of soap just drip onto each other meaning the bottom one will be a mess .

Also it doesn't appear to have a drip tray so any soapy water would drip on to what ever is below, shelf / edge of bath/ shower.

The thing is I can't find a caddy similar anywhere.

I use Child's Farm. It's affordable, free of 'stuff', lathers, leaves no residue and works.

Upallnightfeeding · 26/03/2023 17:12

Sorry I know you are looking for a caddy, I just use a regular soap dish and line up my 3 bars

It’s not £100 though.
If you can afford it and you want it and you love it, get it.
