Low heel shoes for jazz dance

I was going to post in chat but thought I'd try here.

I need some low heels for a Fosse inspired jazz class. I think they're hard soled rather than ballroom type shoes. Any colour, though I'd rather stick to black, possibly gold or silver.

Do you mean low as in no heel, or low compared to a 2.5" ballroom heel?

Maybe character shoes? They're usually hard soled, and have maybe a 1-1.5" heel.

Yes character/chorus shoes from a dance shop like pp posted will be what you want.

Ah, yes, I see what you mean: more of a Chicago/Cabaret glam type of practice!

Thanks everyone! Much appreciated.

I think it was misleading of me to say low heels. I meant to differentiate between the towering heels you see in 'heels' classes. It's still actually around 2.5 inches that I need.

But yes, seems to be character shoes. I've found some t bar character shoes, with a 2.5 inch heel. Those look like the sort the Fosse dancers wear rehearsing.
