I like exploring the local designer scene wherever I travel so I thought it may be interesting to have a place to exchange such finds with like minded mumsnet-ers.

L'atelier Nawbar family based business in Beirut, They have recently started selling a limited selection with Net a Porter and Harrods.

Salim Azzam is another Lebanese designer who employs women with excellent embroidery skills. It's a small business, but he's won a few awards.
