@Sooverthemill we did a period of being vegan and still have loads of vegan meals but we now have meat a few times a week as I just wasn’t getting enough protein.

I am debating going shopping for some new t shirts today!

Well today is a very special day! I finally have an appointment to see the gastroenterologist after over 2 years of waiting ( covid, strikes, doctor needing compassionate leave etc). I really hope she has answers . Dressed for comfy and warmth! It’s bloody freezing again where is the promised sunshine?

also, yesterday DD and I watched the prince of eygpt ( as it’s Passover for her) and it was brilliant! Singing all the songs

@Softpebbles i stopped because I was pregnant with DD and constantly anemic and my midwife suggested I eat liver! Which weirdly I love… I would be vegan again now as there are so many more easily available option for protein etc but DH is a carnivore . We can’t eat fish as DD is hypersensitive to it and it gives her a reaction even if I eat it and clean my teeth, shower etc

Happy Easter weekend everybody :)

I forgot to take a photo of Thursday's work outfit, but this was Wednesday's. Lots of stripes in my wardrobe it seems! The trousers aren't really leggings, they're Biden 3/4 length, so about ankle length on me (in a Long), worn with my trusty black DMs which are just so comfortable for the 2 hour public transport commute I have each way when I go into the office :(

I hope you've all got great plans for this long weekend, the weather is so glorious. We're motorbikes, mountain bikes, friends, and husband's birthday.

Ah thank you @dgirluk . Another Stripe /Breton sister? I get it with the stripes, they are somehow an easy addition to the wardrobe, and in my case, I have added too many over the years. I still really like them though. But I'm enjoying the block colours that so many others like @Cardigansalltheway wear on this thread.

Another lovely shirt @Sooverthemill . I really like wearing shirts and blouses, but it's finding the time to iron them each time and DH's ever growing mound of shirts for work

@Sooverthemill, @Softpebbles, like you two, we eat a lot of veggie meals and some vegan. DS2 doesn't eat meat but DS1 does, so we compromise and have meat once a week on Saturday and make something different for DS2. DH and I aren't big meat eaters but we like a little sometimes. Luckily my teens like pulses so we make a lot of dishes with beans and lentils, but we do have fish sometimes too.

@itssquidstella, great merino vest. I have quite a few I wear in summer, much nicer than cotton when it's hot.

@HorribleHisTories15, those trousers look amazing on you. I wish I just just put on a pair of trousers and look so fab. Such is life!
I feel the same about shirts and ironing. I only have a few shirts, a couple of Boden silk ones that I can wash and hang up carefully and they are OK without ironing, and a Seasalt crinkle cotton one that isn't supposed to be ironed.
But ironing in our house is strictly for weddings, funerals and interviews. So I would never buy any clothing item for daily wear if I thought I would have to iron it.

@kingofchaos, happy birthday for Monday. I hear the 50s are the new 40s. Love the colours, I have been trying to get more colourful in my 50s.

I've always loved a lot of colour.. I was a rubbish goth back in the early 90's! 😂

I was a goth in the 90s too. It's taken me a long time to consider colours other than black, red and purple as suitable for clothing.

Actually it was the late 80s, I'm 3 years older than you.

The weather is going crazy, one moment it's warm and the sun is shining, the second it's downpour with the wind howling like a lonely wolf.

I did dress in a lot of black and purple but my hair was always a bright colour!

@kingofchaos, that's fab, love the hair. I had crimped backcombed dyed black with red streaks! Not sure where any goth photos of me are right now. But this was my post goth phase, probably when I was about 18.

Ooh, love your outfit @toucaninjapan - gorgeous colours. I forgot to take a proper pic yesterday until I was at work so took one of my boots! Schuh sale. Slumming it today while sitting in the garden with PurplecatDog Senior.

@itssquidstella, brilliant! Loving all these old photos. Think you must be quite a bit younger than us. I was 30 in 2000, living in Japan and probably dressing a bit more sensibly!

15 years younger than me then! Enjoy it while you can, those 15 years went very quickly and now my babies are older teens with the first about to go to uni.

No crying at that age! I'm 40 next year and I'm still young as far as I'm concerned.

This is me in 2000 with dreads - if I wasn't such a stickler about scalp health now I'd have them back!
