We had a very nice day, scotch pancakes in bed, salt and vinegar knish for lunch and a ‘takeaway’ delivery from Arabica London ( all vegan) with her brother and his GF in her room in the evening. It was relaxed and fun although a bit of a squeeze around her bed! She is very resilient and very thoughtful and kind and I treasure her. If circumstances were different I wouldn’t have had the privilege of knowing her so well these last 10 years, she would have flown the nest asap like her siblings! She brings me joy ( and heartbreak)

Sézane shirt and new shoes
me and em trousers sorry they are so comfy

Gorgeous blouse @toucaninjapan and loved your top yesterday as well @HorribleHisTories15. You made me laugh with your rookie error of mistaking sunshine= warmth, so easily done at this time of year and I felt the same in a skirt with no tights, I'll be thinking carefully before I repeat that look any time soon. That sounds like a lovely day @Sooverthemill.

Jumper: Modern Rarity
Trousers: Zara
Trainers: Veja

Happy Saturday everyone
I'm also absolutely sick of this miserable weather, so done with grey skies. I need some sunshine!
The Cos dress arrived, I love it so definitely keeping. Ordered these Boden sandals today so I'm hoping that blue skies and warmer weather will be with is soon.

Hi @EllaPaella - sorry to barge in on this thread. I am thinking of buying that Cos dress (which looks fabulous on you) and wondered about sizing. I am a 10/12 and not sure whether to go for small or medium. Is the top very tight fitting? Hopefully you will see this and TIA.

I love those shoes

Cardigansalltheway · 06/04/2023 14:08

Thanks @itssquidstella! Unfortunately the jumper is a dog hair magnet so requires several goes with a lint roller before it's fit to leave the house. It photographs better than it looks!

EllaPaella · 06/04/2023 15:21

@Vivfor60 I would definitely go for a small - I'm a 10 and small is fine, plenty of leeway in the top. Medium would be too loose for you I think.

Ha @Cardigansalltheway , definitely was a rookie error in misreading the weather. Come on Spring! Love your jumper btw. I might have to peruse what Modern Rarity has to offer.

Lovely shirts @Sooverthemill and @toucaninjapan ! Both really pretty and unique shirts.

Ah thank you @itssquidstella . I'm really not. I need to wear more of my wardrobe and not be so safe. I was hoping that this thread would make me be more thoughtful and proactive at choosing and wearing bits. I'm not yet sure.

Greyhairwarmheart · 07/04/2023 07:12

Sounds like a lovely day @Sooverthemill . Yesterday trousers Planet, jumper French connection.

Sooverthemill · 07/04/2023 08:30

That's a nice jumper @Greyhairwarmheart

We're about to go for a walk on Dartmoor so I’m in Sweaty Betty leggings and a lilac merino wool base layer - not the most stylish!

Well that was a hectic couple of days! I got home just before midnight on Wednesday, and was back at work at 07:30 yesterday. Heading off to see my parents and siblings today, so dressed for travelling.

Hoodie: ?? (It was DS’s and I stole it when he grew)
Trousers and trainers: M&S

Netcam · 07/04/2023 10:21

@itssquidstella, looks great, just my kind of clothes, we do lots of walking and merino is the best. Like the lilac too, which brand is that?

Netcam · 07/04/2023 10:22

@toucaninjapan, love your colourful blouse, looks stunning.

Netcam · 07/04/2023 10:24

@Sooverthemill, love the shirt. The birthday celebration sounds fab. Are you all vegan or just some family members?

itssquidstella · 07/04/2023 12:59

@Netcam it's called Re-wool-ution I think, but I bought it from SportPursuit :)

itssquidstella · 07/04/2023 13:28

We're back from our walk!

Merino vest: Zadig and Voltaire
Dad jeans: ASOS

Until 24 and 7 months ago I was vegan. Now it’s my preference when DH isn’t around, DD is vegan since 2018 and DH puts up with it occasionally . But I now eat meat and the other two DC have been vegan on and off

Cardigansalltheway · 07/04/2023 17:12

Love your jumper today @Greyhairwarmheart, very spring like. I think French Connection do a variation every year, I keep meaning to buy one and haven't yet got round to it. Currently have my eye on the yellow one (did I mention that I'm into yellow at the moment 😁).

Jealous of your Dartmoor walk @itssquidstella, it's such a lovely part of the country.

Heading out for a family dinner.

Blouse: Zara
Jeans: Weekday
Trainers: Veja

The trainers are new but very similar to my favourites old ones. A bit lazy to buy practically the same style but I find the brand really useful for a "smart" pair of trainers that are suitable for work, going out for dinner etc.
