Going out with some old friends. Pub and probably a disco bar or something. It's so long since I've been to more than a restaraunt. What to wear? These are glam gals! I'm 49, 5 foot 1, size 12. Can't stand jeans. Do I need tan? Nails? Accessories? Do I need my makeup done? Dresses make me look like a granny. Currently have shoulder length brown dull lifeless hair, getting it cut today and might try something new. God it surely can't be this hard to have a night out! Help

What do you feel GOOD in? Start there. Are you a flats or heels person? Jeans or dresses? I'd try and concentrate less in what you'll look like and what makes you feel good so you'll have a great time.

Since putting on some weight I dunno what I feel good in. But great advice too, it's more the feeling isn't it. Something to think about and work on.

What do you wear day to day?
I hate getting ‘dressed up’ in most situations although will when the occasion demands it.
For a night out like you’re attending id go with a shirt dress (quite informal but can make it look like you’ve made a bit of effort), tights and boots.
I’ve got tanned skin anyway but of course you don’t ever have to bother with tan!! It’s not a requirement! I always have my nails done anyway (by myself, never go to get them done when I can do them myself) and I’m not big on accessorising. I may go with a pair of earrings but that’s my limit!
I’m too lazy and I also hate the feeling of anyone looking at me so feel more comfortable the less dressy I am.
have a bloody lovely time whatever you choose.
