Are white trainers passé now?

Finally getting my head round wearing trainers with a dress as an acceptable workwear choice (I know I am very late to the party!)

Are people still wearing white trainers? Do they have to be a certain style? Is it weird to wear them with tights?

Retro trainers are going to be the big thing this year, gazelles, Stan Smiths etc according to vogue! Don't know about the colour.

White trainers will always be in, the same way LBD will remain so.

I have white trainers. I wear them with everything, except tights as I don't personally like the look. I dgaf about fashionable.

Ooh, I’m fashionable for one thing at least. 😂 I LOVE Gazelles and they’re all I’ve worn for years. Currently have white ones with a new pair ready to go when these are too grubby.

As soon as it's sunny enough then out come the white trainers for sure.

Definitely not to be worn during cold wet autumn or winter months

Stan Smiths or Veja are easy and reasonably fashionable, and both go nicely with dresses. Air & Grace are pretty (but expensive), Joules have some on sale right now, La Redoute has some Veja on sale too.

Can’t see white daps/ plimsoll shoes going out of fashion any time soon, they’re nice in the summer. Those tragic dino stomper things can go though!

I mostly wear mine in the autumn/winter. I wear flip flops the rest of the time when it’s warm enough though so they’re part of my winter wardrobe!

White for summer, black for winter and a tonne of coloured pairs trainers for all tear around are the best invention ever.

I never realised white trainers and a dress were ever acceptable workwear- unless on the tennis court! It obviously depends where you work?🤔
