I really like the look of these, but going to my usual places for plus size can’t find any ones I like. Want a black or dark colour .

Looked at M&S, John Lewis, ASOS , Yours, Simply Be .

any good places for size 22/24 ?

this sort of explains what a chore jacket is https://www.gearpatrol.com/style/a678546/chore-coat-endorsement/

similar is shacket, utility .

thanks

The Chore Coat Is the Perfect Garment. Here’s Why

Over a century since laying tracks in 19th Century France, the chore coat is still with us, and better than ever.

Coombe Lane Jacket - Seasalt Cornwall
They have a couple of denim chore-style jackets, but I like the one in the link as it looks slightly less casual

Thanks I will take a look. And can add them to my places that do larger sizes !
what’s the quality like ?

I quite like these and thought they only did trousers and dungarees !

Only thing I don’t like is the brand label on front . I don’t tend to like that on clothes.

@Brrhitscold , the quality is great. Some of their clothes are plain and some recognisably Seasalt. They had chore jackets in the shop window last summer and I thought they looked really nice.

JofraArchersFastestBall · 23/03/2023 15:04

@Brrhitscold I agree about the label. I have some Lucy & yak things and have unpicked and removed the label fairly easily when I think it stands out too much.

KirstenBlest · 23/03/2023 15:06

Lucy & Yak quality is good too. The corduroy olive green jacket is lovely, but I see what you mean about the logo. You could remove it. L&Y is a bit of a cult, though, and if you like the clothes, you will recognise them if you see others wearing them.
M&S had some denim chore jackets last year that didn't look 'M&S'.

I think that L&Y and Seasalt both deserve recogniton for making clothes that suit a whole range of sizes.

Ah does it come off easily and not look odd or tears ?

Uniqlo has been doing chore jackets for years.Have a look in the big stores.
Le Laboureur are the original chore jackets from France you can find them here https://www.unionclothing.co.uk/collections/le-laboureur or other small retailers if you search on google.

Uniqlo don’t do large enough sizes sadly .
