Porto in May - jacket?

I am going to Porto for a city break at the start of May. Research says it may be high teens weather wise and comparable weather for previous years has sometimes been rain. Definitely a mixed bag.

I don’t own a rain jacket - well, I do but it’s a high viz for work! Other than that, I have my big coat for winter. I do have a light weight utility jacket in the attic. That’s navy and cotton type material.

I am looking for a Mac or Trench style jacket I think. What would you suggest? Trying to do Vinted as I may not wear it again. I suppose my utility jacket may be ok but take an umbrella with me.

Any thoughts? I am not very stylish. Work wear includes safety boots and a grey uniform. I’d like to look good in photos for our city break and have picked up some new tops and jeans so far. Jacket or coat is next.

P.S I don’t want to look like I’ve walked out of our local mountain warehouse with a pack a Mac style jacket.

You get pack away macs that are quite nice. I have a black trench style one from Primark.

My friend is in Porto just now and in her Facebook photos they are wearing very lightweight rain jackets but it looks like nice weather!

I have a trench coat, M&S, for these sorts of occasions, plus an umbrella (somewhere, need to locate it)
