What colour suit do you think looks nicest (men)

I am helping my brother buy a suit for him to wear at a family wedding but also want one where he can wear on different occasions e.g. other weddings, formal meetings, work meetings etc..

What colour suit do you think looks nicest for someone who is under 35. He is 30. I was thinking between navy and grey. But I am not sure whether to go for lighter suit colours or stick with darker suit colours.

Definitely navy blue

It really depends on his colouring. My brothers are both extremely pale with pink undertones skin and almost black hair and navy doesn’t compliment them at all.

I like navy on DH he is mid 30s

Navy or a nice grey

Navy. Brown shoes are dreadful with a wool suit, black shoes only and proper leather soles a brogue, but nothing flash.

Avoid grey, although light charcoal wool pinstripe is okay but slightly dated, black suits are awful.

Linen can be passable in a natural flax shade and only in summer, brown shoes can work in this instance.

Prince William wears good suits in terms of jacket length, cut etc. Harry not so much.

Also think it depends on his colouring. My husband has dark hair and green eyes and grey looked awful on him, whereas navy was lovely. I would definitely avoid black

Navy or a charcoal/graphite grey would be classic.

To me the material and cut/fit make something more classic and versatile than the general colour.

For navy having the right shade matters. Some navy suits look cheap and that's down to a combination of shade and material.

My brother wore a smashing jacket for his wedding. A kind of navy/teal thing. He rented it. Wish I could remember the name of the designer for you. He is American that is all I can say.!
