Bravissimo bra agony advice

I put weight on in the pandemic and bmi increased from 19 to 23. Pre pandemic I wore a 30g. I’m 5ft 10 so have a narrow frame relative to height. After weight gain Bravissimo fitted me in 32hh - their own brand bras. I’ve recently lost a stone and bmi down to 21. The bravissimo bras are now too big in the cup but still the bands are agony, the underwiring causes huge red marks under my bust and I’m permanently aware of being in pain. I did not have this problem with fantasie bras I wore before weight gain.
I don’t know what bra size I am now. I need new bras but I’m reluctant to pay to continue to be in discomfort. Are bravissimo bras particularly fierce or is it the bigger size? If I ask them to fit me in fantasie will that be less agonising?

I go to M&S and try on loads of bras until I find the right ones for what I want (eg running, night out, lounging about). Works for me and not expensive.
I am hugely sceptical of the tiny band size/vast cup size beloved of the Mumsnet massif - tight bands hurt, why would you want a bra that hurts?
Mine don't. I've used bravissimo since way before MN though
Size 16 and wear a 34 band
M&S tried to tell me I was a 40H which I could take off without undoing!
The band maybe isn't as important if you're smaller busted but as a K cup, I need the support from the band

Similar here. My bras don't hurt - when I buy a brand new one it will tend to be on the firm side, because I know they'll stretch out after a few hours. I do the same with Dr Martens shoes, if I buy them comfy they're massive after a few wears.
But there's a difference between a firm bra and a painful one, and when you're toting Js or Ks around then a loose band is a fast route to back pain!

@Thighdentitycrisis Hi - I asked on their online question/chat section and they said you would wear the same as me the M-L, they offer free returns if you don't like it, the underband is strong but soft. I know it's not cheap but I think the quality is worth it? xx

An update - bravissimo said the bras being too big was the reason they were so painful. They fitted me in a fantasie illusion 30gg (ie one cup size up from my pre pandemic size) and that does seem to have solved the problem. Just need to lose another 4 or 5 lbs to wear all my old bras 🤞🏻

Glad you got something better - too big bras can be really uncomfortable.
