How many pairs of trainers do you own?

I typed out a long waffle and MN ate it
Probably just as well

Short version - how many pairs of trainers do you own? Do you wear them with anything that's a bit smarter, eg relaxed jacket?

If you wear animal print - I have one jacket and one top - do you wear trainers and if so, how do you make them work? I always wear black boots.

In fact, how do you put together trainers with any print, just pick up an accent colour? When I try to shop for trainers, I could just buy them all!

I used to be very much one for black boots but it does seem to be trainers everywhere now, work or going out. I'm about to start walking a lot more of my commuting route too so trainers all day would be easier. It seems like you'd need a pair for every outfit though - wishful thinking!

I realise that's not hip but I don't like clutter.

I have 3 pairs at the moment
New Balance 237 in white & pink
New Balance 720 in pale grey, blue & pink
BA&SH + Veja Collaboration

And I'm about to buy a pair of Hoff trainers in summer colours

I like trainers but definitely don't wear them everyday..I love boots & sandals

I never wear trainers with dresses & I hate the midi dress with veja trainer look so never wore that..

I have trainers in black-and-gold, navy-and-silver, pony skin-with grey, plain white, olive with brown suede and copper trim, and mustard yellow. All the same (Italian) make and all bought in sales online. Plus grey and black ankle boots from the same company for winter. I'm 66 and wear them most of the time.

I'm not a huge trainers wearer, generally they only get use in spring or autumn but I've technically got 3 pairs.

One of those is a pair of tatty but comfy old trainers I've had about a decade that I use for walking the dog if the weather's grim, and otherwise for gardening.

The two I actually wear are a pair of New Balance (cream with black logo) which are my go to if I'm wearing jeans or trousers and a pair of black adidas retropy(?) which are black with a cream sole. Not particularly imaginative but because I'm not really a trainer person generally I do like the ones I have to go with anything and they cover all outfit bases for me. I've never been a fan of trainers with midi dresses or skirts so they tend to be what I wear with jeans or very occasionally, trousers.

Currently four pairs of running shoes, will be adding another soon. Three pairs of casual trainers which I don't run in.

Seven.

I have four pairs of running trainers, including one trail running. I have three pairs of leisure trainers I wear to an exercise/yoga/etc class or gym, but change out of when I get there.

I don't wear trainers with smart or casual clothes only ever with gym or exercise clothes. I just don't like the look for me, personally.
