Work outfits

After years of working from home, I'm going back into a job where I cannot work from home (a school). I'll hopefully 🤞🏻 be able to start mid April, but if not definitely September. As I've worked from home for so long, I've got used to being in tracksuits for comfort. So now (a few pounds heavier!) I'm looking for a "work style". I think I'd prefer tights/leggings and dresses but I'm quite short so want dresses that are flattering and sit just above the knee. Bonus points for a good price and pockets Grin.

If you are in a school smart casual is fine. Tunic tops and leggings, comfortable trousers and nice tops and skirts etc are all OK. To be honest I would look on the net or Instagram for capsule wardrobes. Find a few examples you like and are your "vibe". Order and try on clothes that match or are similar and buy maybe three or four mix and match items and see how you get on once there. I tend to find every workplace has a slightly different dress code and have over the years decided capsule is the way forward and built out from there. Otherwise you can end spending a fortune on new work clothes and get two weeks into the job and decide it isn't right for you or the role.
