Growing back eyebrows

paulmccartneysbagel · 17/03/2023 12:48

I'm 42 and have always plucked my eyebrows. I would quite like them to be thicker, they were very thin in the 90s and 00s but I grew them back a bit, now I think they've gradually got thin as I have been overdoing it with the tweezers.

I've left them alone now for two weeks and can see some parts growing back, but other parts are still 'bald'.

Has anyone else regrown their brows after decades of plucking? Will they ever grow back? Is there anything I can do, or any products that I can use that may help?

Thanks

I was a heavy eyebrow plucker in the 90's and had very thin sparse eyebrows for years. Last year I started to use an eyebrow serum called Rapidbrow and it has been amazing and really brought my eyebrows along. I've grown hair where it had been missing. I would definitely give something like this a try, it really helped me

It probably takes atleast twelve weeks for them to grow back. Keep going with in and fill in any gaps with an eyebrow pencil.

Thanks so much, I will take a look at that!

Yes I think I read somewhere to allow 12 weeks. Will need to hide behind my glasses for a while longer 😂

I used Rapidbrow for a year and it made absolutely no difference at all.

I've been using rapidbrow and taking a collagen supplement and it seems to be helping. Definite improvement over a month although I don't know which is making the difference.

Ooh interesting... will add some collagen supplements to my next Ocado delivery!

Bugger. That's a shame, it seems to have loads of positive reviews.

Rapidbrow extends the ‘growing phase’ of hair, so it will be able to grow a bit longer and cover gaps. It won’t make a hair grow in a bald area, but if there are tiny hairs there that aren’t very visible, they will also grow. An eyebrow tint may also help as all the little hairs then will be a bit more visible.

Thanks @CrystalMaisie I think I will try a tint anyway, as two white hairs have appeared in the new growth! 😂
