No more Simple Day Cream: what next??

I love this moisturiser, but like most things now, it's gone! I love basic moisturisers that don't cost a lot. I used to use Boot's own, the pot with the blue lid, but they changed that too.

Today I used the new Simple Rich moisturiser, but my face feels tight.

What next??

I thought the new one smelt of petrol??

I use Cetaphil or Cerave if I want a basic non perfume one.

Grrrpredictivetex · 17/03/2023 06:51

Aldi Lacura cream works for me.

Okunevo · 17/03/2023 06:53

I use the lidl £1.50 one except they often sell out of the day one so I'm using the night one instead and it's just as good

Gooseysgirl · 17/03/2023 07:02

I really like the Superdrug vitamin E one! link

Violetparis · 17/03/2023 07:06

Use one of the Simple night creams, they are richer than the day one. I like the one in the round tub. I use this at night and Olay sensitive cream (basic one) during the day.

Violetparis · 17/03/2023 07:08

There's a new Aveeno unperfumed moisturiser out but I haven't tried it yet.

Blastandbollocks · 17/03/2023 07:08

I like Cetaphil too. Both light and rich, but not greasy. It's not the cheapest granted, but a little goes a long way - I'm still on the bottle I bought 5 months ago, so it evens itself out in my opinion.

Their SPF50 is great for the summer for sensitive skin and doesn't run into my eyes!

Depending on your skin type, I highly recommend the Simple hydrating gel cream.

I used to spend a fortune on a clinique oil free gel moisturiser, but this is just as good.

I've never used the regular Simple day cream so not sure how different it is, but I love it.

I've started using the Aldi day cream and it's brilliant. I've been using Estée Lauder for years but needed something in a hurry (and I'm skint), I'll be sticking with Aldi fron now onwards

thedevilinablackdress · 17/03/2023 09:12

Superdrug Pure range is similar in terms of no scent. I've only user the serums which are good.

Aldi Lacura cream works for me.

Yes I use this one too.

catshreddedthesofa · 17/03/2023 09:17

I like the Nivea one, it's in a small tube and they do a blue one for normal skin/green one for sensitive skin

Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser?
I have used this for years as my basic moisturiser. Sinks in quickly, never pills, can go over lips too as no perfume.
I hope this isn't the one that's being discontinued???
Usually £3 a bottle. Currently £2:50 on Ocado.

HelebethH · 17/03/2023 09:37

Nivea So Soft is a lovely moisturiser. Also can use on the whole body. A big tub usually £4 when on offer. Don't find it greasy either.

maddy68 · 17/03/2023 10:20

I really like the aldi day cream with SPF

shivermetimbers77 · 17/03/2023 10:22

I also use the Simple light hydrating moisturiser. Only one that doesn’t break me out (cerave gives me bad spots!)

MattDamon · 17/03/2023 12:09

Another vote for Superdrug Vitamin E.

ClannadSinger · 17/03/2023 12:10

Revolution magic cream. It's a dupe for the Charlotte tilbury magic cream. I find it brilliant
