Super long lasting lipstick- help

Boxshibe · 16/03/2023 14:08

I need a super long lasting lipstick. I had a dior one that was quite good. I need to buy another lipstick. A plum colour one which will stay put. I'm on teams all day so don't want to have to keep reapplying.
Money up to £40/50. Must stay put though. Available in biggish boots. Any ideas?

I swear by the Maybelline Superstay 24hr lipstick. It's the dual ended one. It's not too end at all but I've tried so many lipsticks at different price points and this is the one I always come back to. Often it's still there in the morning after a night out!

Boxshibe · 16/03/2023 14:12

That would be great. Is it about £10? I don't mind buying several £10 ones.

Another vote for Maybelline Superstay! They really are long lasting and have a wide range of great colours
Around £10

I love Lancome lipsticks, they feel so creamy and go on easily. If you find a shade you love you could always ask to try some on and then if it wears well for the rest of the day you could go back and buy it?
I have wasted far too much money on lipsticks that either don't last or go flakey or make my lips feel really dry and unpleasant

Mac have just released Locked Kiss Ink. It’s really long wearing and comfortable. The colour “Upgraded” is advertised as mauve but it’s a cool plum/purple.
Fenty Beauty has “Berry Banger” in their Poutsicle Lip Stain. Really long wearing and comfortable.

learieonthewildmoor · 16/03/2023 15:47

Sorry, those are online.

MidnightMeltdown · 16/03/2023 15:48

Watching with interest. I haven't found a long lasting lipstick that doesn't dry the lips out.

soberfabulous · 16/03/2023 15:54

Max factor lipfinity. You can only remove it with baby oil: it's like glue.

Itsonlyagame · 16/03/2023 16:11

Maybelline super stay is fantastic. The vinyl lipgloss doesn't budge amd doesn'tdry your lips, I didn't have to reapply at all during an all day wedding.

I have four of these and they last through a lot of talking in a classroom. Lips don’t get chapped, either.

BluebellBlueballs · 16/03/2023 17:21

Hourglass confessions lipstick is the only one still on my lips thr morning after.

Not drying either

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 16/03/2023 17:22

Maybelline superstay

I love L'Oreal lipsticks

L'Oreal Rouge Signature Matte Liquid
L'Oreal Paris Infallible 24hr
and
Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick

I found the Stila lipsticks in a set on eBay. They are fab to keep in a bag. I use gloss on top.

eBay is great for makeup, brand new of course. ☺️

I bought both the maybelline superstar 24hr and the max factor one. I've only tried the maybelline one but I put it on yesterday and it's still there looking ok. Wow. Will try the max factor tomorrow and report back. Thanks all so helpful.

I've got a Mac matte one that lasts all day

Blackbirdblue30 · 19/03/2023 17:00

Another fan of Maybelline Superstay. It won't budge and they have lots of colours. Downside is that it can be drying. Lipcote will also help a lipstick stay put but it won't work over anything glossy. The Body Shop used to do (decades ago and discontinued!) a lip pen that was like a sharpie and I'm yet to find its replicate if anyone knows?

Bananaman123 · 19/03/2023 17:18

I swatched my new Kylie matte lip kit and it did not budge, had to really scrub at it around 14hrs later.

newtb · 19/03/2023 17:46

I was going to suggest Lipcote, it must've been going for nearly 100 years .
One problem with Max Factor is there's something in them that gives a horrible taste with red wine.

WhereAreWeNow · 19/03/2023 18:02

Stila Stay All Day. I'm not wild about the colours but the staying power is impressive.
