Would you recommend this for 47 year old, combination, pale (grey) skin?

I have the Clair, 40 yo, pale/pinkish skin - I really like it. It's light coverage but mattifying to just the right amount and smooths over some imperfections. Just a good tinted moisturiser basically. You don't need to use much, in fact it says a thin covering. You might need more spf on beforehand if that's something you need from a tinted moisturiser as I don't think the amount you put in would be enough protection.

How pale are you? I’m pretty pale and it’s a bit dark. It’s ok if I only put a little on and it smells fab.

The problem with Erborian CC is the colour range. The lightest sent me orange. If you want a CC then IT Cosmetics has a wider colour range but is a much fuller coverage. (think a medium-full foundation)

Erborian BB is great however.

I have to say I didn't find the Clair in the CC cream orange or too dark for me and I'm pretty pale/Celtic colouring. But it could quite possibly react differently on others...

Matchingcollarandcuffs · 15/03/2023 15:34

I am a 30 in Chanel and the Clair is way way too dark for me, I legally looked like an oompah loompa in it.

You can little sample packets of the different colours to try. I personally like the red correct cc and the nude bb

Yoyoyo1 · 15/03/2023 16:02

Thank you, where could i get samples from?

The CC is too orangey but the BB is cracking. I use the Clair colour and believe me, I am milk white! It makes me look healthy tbh!

I got one from eBay. It was alarmingly expensive but cheaper than a mistake.

Sephora pick n mix is a great place to get the samples www.sephora.co.uk/pick-n-mix/

Their BB in clair is perfect on my ghost skin. It even makes me look a bit glowy on a good day and I am not a glowy person 🤣

Schoolchoicesucks · 15/03/2023 21:14

I use the bb cream in clair. Not tried the CC as found the BB to be spot on.
Tried the BB fuller coverage and won't be repurchasing that one. BB is the best!

User2344 · 18/03/2023 07:36

I've tried a sample of the bb and found it really thick and hard to apply. Even the tiniest amount was too much for my face, but maybe it was the full coverage version...I cant remember

Korean BBs are very much like a medium- full coverage foundation. I've got the normal one but it is definitely a fuller coverage than my foundation. Remember BB = blemish balm. There's been a kind of shift from the Korean original BB (fairly full coverage to hide imperfections) to people thinking a BB is somehow an alternative to a tinted moisturizer. I think some western brands are more like a TM but Korean one's definitely not. (Likewise, I have the IT Cosmetics CC and it's thicker than Doublewear. Literally need a pea sized blob for whole full coverage face - and a very little pea at that!)

Interesting, thanks! Any tips for how to apply, I actually quite liked it, just couldn't figure out the best way to spread it. I usually go for a more sheer look but maybe there is a way to achieve it with this bb?

This thread is a good find for me, I was thinking to order the eborian cc, but I've got pale sallow skin and was looking for more of a tinted moisturiser that improves pores. Doesn't sound like the right thing for me. Not sure what is, don't live near any make up counters and the chemist's was empty of most things.
