... that isn't ruinously expensive! available from high street stores ie boots, superdrug etc too if possible. Many thanks in advance.

They all sting and make you want to rip your face off.

Not one beauty guru applies separate spf in their make up videos, I'm going to boldly claim they don't actually use it.

Heliocare 360. Love it and seen a huge improvement in my skin over the last 5 years

What improvement did you see in your skin, out of interest? Because I thought wearing SPF was largely a preventative measure than a treatment as such.

Are there any for combination skin ?

Twoshoesnewshoes · 16/03/2023 09:55

L’Oréal Revitalift SPF day cream, really good face cream with spf so you don’t need a separate one. It’s really good (for me) at smoothing fine lines.
it’s always half price somewhere, and about £7 on Amazon.

Clinique city block. I've been using it for actual decades, no problems and I have sensitive skin. One tube lasts me 4 months ish.

Itstoday · 16/03/2023 10:10

@Porkandbeans1 I agree the Beauty of Joeson one is beautiful. You would never know it was an SPF and feels lovely on my skin.

borntobequiet · 16/03/2023 10:11

I don’t normally bother with SPF other than on sunny days but I’m currently taking medication that requires me to be careful, so I bought a Simple moisturising day cream (factor 15) which is light and comfortable to wear. They do a factor 30 one as well.

I used the superdrug solait one until perimenopause sent my oil glands into overdrive. It's not tested on animals either, garnier is also safe for animal testing.

harriethoyle · 16/03/2023 12:05

Thanks all! When work allows I'm going to scour the aisles of the local big Boots and Superdrug and see what I can find...

I love Garnier Ambre Solaire for anti dark spots. It doesn't sting my eyes and it's a nice feel on the skin - a good makeup base, in fact. I am fair so I can't tell you if it leaves a white cast. But it doesn't make me look weird and shiny.

Lndnmummy · 18/03/2023 22:16

I use the tinted ultrasun one

BeretRaspberry · 18/03/2023 22:22

I use the Altruist face one. It’s fab.
