Hi.
I got this dress.. I like it but I'm not sure how to style it or if it's too dressy for 40th (dinner in a nice restaurant)
Thanks ❤️

I love it. With flat sandals in summer or maybe some silvery dressy sandals with heels for more of an occasion.

Pinkbonbon · 14/03/2023 16:14

I'd agree its more holiday-esk. I see it with a big brimed hat, strolling along a promenade tbh.

For dinner...hmm...it's a bit long I think.
Maybe a nice clutch bag and some silver chain jewelry would work.

SaltyGod · 14/03/2023 16:27

I think it's fine for a smart dinner, you'd see similar dresses from spring onwards in decent restaurants in our local city.

I'd add a belt or something to hide the obvious waist to bodice seam. And then I agree with PP on silver jewellery and some flats.

It's a lovely dress and it's (personally) always a pleasure to dress up for a special occasion

Whataretheodds · 14/03/2023 16:37

Right now I'd wear it with a biker jacket and chunky boots

Whataretheodds · 14/03/2023 16:38

And bright pink lipstick and hoops

midsomermurderess · 14/03/2023 16:45

When it’s warmer, I think espadrilles would work well with it. It’s quite 1970s.

Zooeyzo · 14/03/2023 18:57

Lovely dress. Sandals and silver jewelry with a light pashmina would go together

osteopriyosis · 14/03/2023 19:06

maybe a white belt, one of those pearl bags and oversized pearl earrings and ofc shoes with pearl accents (most probably white) and if you wanna really dress them up maybe white gloves?? 😍😍😍 (shades would also be a nice touch)

Penguinsaregreat · 14/03/2023 19:27

I’d wear that in the summer for lunch or dinner. Sandals, possibly a white cardigan, maybe chunky beads and big sunglasses.

WeCome1 · 14/03/2023 19:30

Hm, I think the net and length make it very dressy/weddingy. I think you’d need to try it with a belt and sandals to see if it works or not.

That was my first thought too but then I thought it might be too long for that. Might not see the boots.

Beautiful dress! Where is it from please?

minidancer · 14/03/2023 20:24

Biker boots, leather jacket and a belt for now then nice leather sandals and belt on holiday

Corcra · 14/03/2023 23:03

Thanks ❤️ everyone so much. I actually love these ideas and I wouldn't have thought of them. Appreciate it.

Pretty dress. Bit bridesmaidy though.

BeaLola · 14/03/2023 23:21

Thin silver belt and straps sandals for dinner or espadrilles if more casual lunch - definitely a belt m

Lovely colour and dress - can see it with flat sandals too - Happy 40th
