HELP! What were these boots called? Popular in the 80's/90's

It's driving me crazy that I can't remember! My Mum had a pair. Everyone seemed to have a pair, lol.

They were white and looked like trainers, but they had an ankle on them, so they came up higher than a trainer. They were always white.

Buffalo Boots? As worn by the Spice Girls and clubbers throughout the late 90s/early y2k

God I used to love these (and still kinda do)

Reebok pumps?? They had the bubble to pump air around the tongue.
I had Reebok dancer with a double tongue. The bottom would fold over the laces.

are you thinking of PODs? i had some heeled platform trainers called from a company called POD in the 90s, they also did black platform school shoes

donthaveaname · 14/03/2023 14:08

Cheesybiscuitsmineallmine · 14/03/2023 14:24

TattiePants · 14/03/2023 15:07

We used to wear trainer boots with our shell suits and huge perms in the late 80s. They were like trainers but had extra padding that came up round the ankle.

Pinkywoo · 14/03/2023 15:48

Warm up boots? They're a dance thing but legwarmers were massive back then so maybe!

Whywere · 14/03/2023 16:14

BKs? British Knights? Or Nike Airs or Reeboks with the pump?

What area of the country are you from? Perhaps you need to ask people local to you as they might be called different things in different areas?

GallopingGreen · 14/03/2023 17:17

I was going to say Palladium boots, but they weren't always white. Blast from the past this thread!!!

Unsure33 · 14/03/2023 17:23

What year roughly are you talking about ?

HappenstanceMarmite · 14/03/2023 17:37

Pixie boots. With skinny jeans tucked in. Slouchy and super soft leather.

SecretCoconut · 14/03/2023 17:41

You've said they looked like the ones @AlwaysUtterChaos posted, well they were called Hi-tops in the late 80s to mid-90s where I'm from (south east uk)
