HELP! What were these boots called? Popular in the 80's/90's

It's driving me crazy that I can't remember! My Mum had a pair. Everyone seemed to have a pair, lol.

They were white and looked like trainers, but they had an ankle on them, so they came up higher than a trainer. They were always white.

Gooseysgirl - yes, they were definitely basketball boots in the 80s. I don't think hight tops were a thing 'til the skateboarder look happened and everyone started wearing Vision and Airwalk

I am proper lol-ing at this. Reminds me of a uni friend in the 80s who signed up with a temp agency and was told nothing about the job they assigned him except to take his own wellies- it was a job in a chicken processing plant.

I think they did look like this, yes!

But definitely called something not yet mentioned on this thread. Aargh!
