Spring wedding guest

Would be grateful for some advice as I’ve not been to a wedding for years . Dn is having a big do in a stately home-type of thing in May, Sussex .
I’m 51, 5 foot four , size 12 but with short legs 😏 might need petite. Am very pale, don’t want to wear navy or dark colours . Not keen on maxi . I like the idea of floaty angel type /ruffles sleeves ,fitted bodice .Fancy wearing shoes with a bit of a heel to counteract the short legs , possibly platforms as I haven’t worn heels for a long time .
