Clear aligner quote

LuciferRising · 13/03/2023 18:01

Received a quote back today for Clear Correct. 6 months, 12 aligners at £2990 or £3490 dependent on plan. If I want an Invisilign quote I need to commit a deposit. It is likely I will because I have some recession.

How does this compare to others?

I'll need a small amount of filing. Is this normal?

They want to discuss a milk tooth I have. Anyone have aligners and a baby tooth?

My DD has Invisalign. It's an 18 month course and it has cost us £4k. She's not needed any teeth out or any other special treatment - just the retainers and regular check ups.

Thanks. Worried about the filing!

I would check how many revisions that includes (if any). I think it's pretty rare not to need any.

If they mean IPR filing OP it's fine. It's in between your teeth with like a flexible metal nail file type thing to make a bit of space to bring teeth into line. It's a weird sensation but doesn't hurt. If they mean filing some uneven edges again they just shape the tooth slightly to give a better look. Nothing to worry about.

I had ceramic braces and composite bonding on 6 teeth. 18 months treatment cost with retainers after cost £3495.

I was told 16 trays but ended up having 19. It didn't cost any more money though. That was Invisalign and it cost me about £3.5k

I agree that the filing was nothing to worry about, they need to make space for the teeth to move. I would be concerned about the number of trays though. I didn't have terribly crooked teeth but I am on tray 40 or something like that. I thought they would be fixed in 14.

@LuciferRising did you go ahead and get the aligners? And was the milk tooth an issue? I have the same and wanting to get clear aligners.

My Invisalign was £3k including 1 main set, 2 extra sets, permanent retainers and whitening
