Which blue dress?

Heading out with DH for a special dinner, and would like to treat myself to a new dress. So far I have these 2 options. Which one?

Option 1.

Option 2.

I like the first one because it has more shape around the arms and neck, plus the second one is a bit 'straight up and down' - so first one for me

Fourecks · 12/03/2023 04:55

I also vote for the first dress, for the same reasons as @custardbear

ShopoholicIn · 12/03/2023 04:56

First one as well

VictorStrand · 12/03/2023 04:59

The first one is a more interesting design but I hate its material. The second one is dull. I have a dress like it and it's fine.

Relaxingtime · 12/03/2023 05:00

First love the waist and tie looks more stylish

VoluntaryWing · 12/03/2023 05:14

For me they are much of a muchness so the color would swing it. Which would suit you better?

Josette77 · 12/03/2023 05:51

1st one! Love it!

BusterGonad · 12/03/2023 05:59

Option 2. I'm not keen on the belt or neckline of 1.

NoWeaponsOnTheTable · 12/03/2023 06:02

I prefer the colour of the 2nd one.

Riverlee · 12/03/2023 06:09

I agree with @VoluntaryWing , similar dresses.

The first one looks smarter to me.

hallodarknessmyoldfriend · 12/03/2023 06:14

First one!

Mothership4two · 12/03/2023 06:18

Option 1. Prefer the shape and the colour. Both syntheticity though

Snugglemonkey · 12/03/2023 06:50

I do not like the fabric of 1. It looks cheap, which is a shame as it is not. Plus the colour is not very appealing to me. So number 2.

ThisIsNotARealAvo · 12/03/2023 06:52

I love the second one

carriedout · 12/03/2023 06:55

The colour of the first one is sickly, so the second.

laurwalsh · 12/03/2023 06:57

OP it totally depends on your figure. If you're slim and can pull off the fitted light blue one then that one all the way! But it's in a model and hard to know how it would look on normal woman if you get me. The dark blue one is more casual but I love the colour and could be safer fitting. I'm sure you'll look stunning either way

AlienSupaStar · 12/03/2023 07:08

1!

Hop27 · 12/03/2023 07:23

The 1st one was my initial fave! But loved the darker colour of the 2nd. I'm an 8/10 athletic build with a bit of a curve!

First dress

Lastofyou · 12/03/2023 07:33

2

savoycabbage · 12/03/2023 07:33

I like the first one because I don't like things that are knitted but where you have bare arms.

Soccermumamir · 12/03/2023 08:53

First one 👍

CanYouSayDicksickle · 12/03/2023 09:47

First one

TheOGCCL · 12/03/2023 09:50

I couldn’t wear that colour but the first one is classier.

LookItsMeAgain · 12/03/2023 10:06

You say this is for a 'special' dinner with your DH. What is the reason for the 'special' dinner? I'm thinking that both dresses look very similar and not sure they tick the box for something 'special'. They are, to me, on the cusp of being dressy dresses but they are very simple in their style. If it was a choice between the two, I'd go for the first one but only because of the detail with the ties around the waist.
