Face Powder for Dry Skin

I hardly ever buy makeup but am desperate for some new face powder. I'm in my early 50's and have a tendency towards dry skin. I want a light powder that will even my skin out and hide blemishes. Can anyone recommend a good powder - preferably something I can get in Boots as I've had a £75 voucher for my birthday so can afford a better one than usual. Thanks

Hourglass ambient light powder is great.

BareMinerals original foundation. That one is light-reflecting. Not great for oily skin, but very good for dry skin.

Kosas Cloud Set powder is excellent. V light and non cakey, doesn’t look like powder on the skin. Expensive but lasts ages - sadly not available at Boots though.

TBH I found that as I grew older face powder made my skin look more wrinkled and old. I now use tinted moisturiser or a light foundation instead.

Thanks but I have to be careful with moisturisers and normal foundations. I only use doublebase to clean and moisturise now as my skin was so poor with anything else I tried.

I’ve just started using Laura Mercier ultra blue powder. I find it good on the face but I need to go easy around the eyes.

Powder just makes me look old. I'm now on tret and just need a colour correcting primer.
