Is there a nice cloth or similar that will polish my silver jewellery up? Any recommendations?

I use silver dip - leave pieces in the dip for a few minutes then rinse and dry them and they come up like new

If it's tarnished you can use baking soda/powder to remove it. Line a small dish or cup with foil (shiny side up), fill with boiling water to cover the jewellery, then put some baking powder in and leave for 30 mins - comes out lovely and clean again

Line a dish with aluminium foil, add baking soda and leave it to soak.

This is what I do, works like magic then buff with a silver cloth thing when it comes out.

I use a silver dip solution that I bought at a local jewellers. It's important not to leave for longer than a couple of minutes but items come out sparkling.

I use toothpaste. Put some toothpaste on, rub it a bit then wipe dry. Shiny like new and smells minty 😂

Silvo like brasso. In a tin.

You need one of the blue cloths for cleaning silver. Just rub the jewellery and it comes up nicely

Metalsmith here. I just use a silver polishing cloth on jewellery. Metal polish can be very abrasive and toothpaste even more so.

The Waitrose own brand is very good and lasts for ages.

For plain silver jewellery without stones that have been glued in you really can't beat the silver foil and bicarbonate of soda hack. It works like magic and is as cheap as chips. It is especially brilliant for filgree or other intricate designs as it cleans all the nooks and crannies.

If you are cleaning rings or anything with stone settings I would not use this method as the boiling water can affect the glue and loosen the stone.

The silver foil and baking soda trick is great if you have kids too, it's electrolysis so a cool science experiment.
