Hello,
What moisturiser do you use with tret?

I’ve been using the dermatica one but I’m not very happy with it.

Thanks!

I use Weleda Skin Food at night and then just some cheap Nivea soft or Illyoon Ato cream in the morning. Waiting for my Stylevana order to arrive to get more of the Illyoon cream but Nivea seems to be doing just the same job! I think I’ve read that to use a heavy as you can tolerate moisturiser at night.

Keep it basic. I use CeraVe moisturising cream at night, facetheory amil-c whip spf 30 in the day.

If I need something more at night, or my skin feels irritated, I stop the tret and use lrp cicaplast balm for a week or so.

I use Sunday Riley Vit C moisturiser in the morning and the ceramide ICE moisturiser at night. Both work very well and the Vit C moisturiser is good under SPF too.

I use a big ol' greasy Olay one at night and Hada Labo during the day as my foundation is water based and is less keen on going on top of an oily base.

Whatever was on offer. You don't need to spend on moisturizer. Currently LRP Toleriane Dermallergo as the harsh weather has chomped at my face a bit.

I’ve tried every moisturiser under the sun, I’ve settled with the cheapest! (Had some v expensive ones too)

Nivea soft! £2 a tube. It’s the only one that gets rid of the dry / tight / uncomfortable face feeling. Its also the only one that doesn’t make me a spotty mess.

Its the white Nivea, not the blue one.

Devonshirelass · 26/08/2023 15:28

So do you put the tret on and then moisturiser over the top?

danni0509 · 26/08/2023 15:37

Yes. Moisturiser after tret.

But you can sandwich it too, moisturiser, tret, moisturiser. If you’re feeling it’s a bit harsh.

I sometimes do that, or skip completely if my face is feeling irritated.

Thanks @danni0509

I love this as well - so cheap and really does the job ie moisturising.

My dermatologist recommended the Avene Tolerance one to use with tret.

I've also been using the Malin +Goetz Vit E moisturiser as I got a bottle in one of the Liberty beauty kits and I've really liked it.
