Tankini or similar

I need a new swimming costume - ideally a tankini because I find them much easier to get in/out of on a beach. But, I want something really plain and practical, with a long top that stays pulled down, which I can actually swim in. I'm a size 16, with small boobs and quite a large tummy, and everywhere I look its underwired, and rouched, and polka dots. Any ideas?

Pour Moi.

Following as i'm looking for the same!

Pour Moi are nice, but still a bit glam for me. I'm not like that with the rest of my clothes, so I'd love to find something a bit more minimalist?

I have this - the top hides a multitude of sins!

After years of struggling to visit the loo in a one-piece I gave up and bought bikinis and I wear a long sleeve uv top over the top. The top covers me and the bikini provides support for my boobs. I'm a size 18 and have had skin cancer so this works for me.

Deakin and blue, but they are expensive.

Deakin and blue tankini

Boden tankinis have been great for me (can be expensive, but you can often find a code or wait for a discount)

Snailsaresweet · 07/03/2023 11:49

Wow - Deakin and Blue look brilliant! Thank you @SirVixofVixHall

Their swimwear is good quality, and in three fits depending on cup size. I might try the tankini, the swimsuit I like is a bit short in the body for me, that particular style annoyingly comes up short.
The woman I know who swims the most seriously wears their swimsuits.

I like tankinis for similar reasons and love my Regatta tankinis. They stay put and the bottoms are high waisted. There's patterned and plain varieties. I swim 3 times a week in mine and the original is 3 years old now.

Bringing back this thread to say that I went ahead and ordered the Deacon & Blue Tankini, with matching high waist bottoms. I took their advice about measuring myself and ended up going a size larger than I think I am! They arrived v quickly, and fit really well. I wouldn't go as far as saying I like looking at myself in the mirror in them, but I certainly dislike myself a lot less than usual! Looking forward to a summer of swimming!

Placemarking as also looking - and v similar dimensions. Tried to find one last year and gave up in the end and bought a one piece swimsuit.

Good news OP, I am glad I suggested them.
