I am trying to grow out my heavily bleached highlighted hair as it’s just had enough I think. I’ve not been my natural colour since a teen (30’s now) and have been blonde for years. It’s just getting very hard to keep in decent condition as I’m getting older and it’s snapping all the time despite rarely styling.

I think I’m a dark blonde / light brown naturally but πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ πŸ˜‚. Pics are of when it’s fully highlighted and now after 5 months of growth. It looks fairly awful apart from when in a messy bun or if curled and waved it sort of blends in. The last time I had it highlighted she added in some low lights to try and break it up.
Should I just persevere and hope eventually it will look like a baylage? 🫣 I keep getting tempted to whack a caramel type colour over the blonde bits. I don’t want to dye the regrowth.
