Does this bikini wax have a name?

I'd like everything off underneath, like a Brazilian, but instead of a strip I want a reasonably full but neat triangle at the front. Obviously I can just describe it to the waxer but I wondered if there's a name for this style? Thanks.

Following with interest as I'd love to know as well. I get annoyed that I usually get charged for a Brazilian for this even though it's less waxing!

Just tell the wax therapist what you want. They won’t care about so called names for things. Too much confusion.

Probably best do as a previous poster suggested, and talk to the therapist, as I always thought a Brazilian always left a narrow strip underneath?

a narrow strip underneath? blimey, which side would you have it on?

steelseries · 06/03/2023 11:54

I just book a Brazilian and then when they say "how thick do you want the strip" I ask for a small triangle instead

StarlightLady · 06/03/2023 12:58

NEVER ask for anything by name, describe exactly what you want to the beautician. I had 2 friends wanting Hollywoods but they asked for a Brazilian and wondered why they came out with some hair left. This older woman (40s), almost 20 years older had to put them right. 😀

Beware though that what you are looking for will be quite high maintenance.

littleegghead · 06/03/2023 17:17

That's what I have, I get too many ingrowns otherwise :(
I just ask for/book a brazilian then describe how much I want left on top, simple!

Leafblow · 06/03/2023 17:50

Brazilian triangle? Or Martini? Maybe, probably easier just to say exactly what you would like though

NevieSticks · 06/03/2023 17:58

Sounds like number 5 in this article?

No - a Brazilian is everything off underneath and bum too.

DameCelia · 06/03/2023 18:05

I've heard it described as normcore

lemonyfox · 06/03/2023 18:17

Is it a California wax?

Holdingonforspring · 06/03/2023 18:21

In the States they call it a deep bikini. Underneath and back. But leave a shapped triangle in front

RoseApothacary · 06/03/2023 18:25

How painful do people find bikini waxing? It’s something I’ve always wanted to do but have never gotten around to it.

doadeer · 06/03/2023 18:38

Just book Brazilian and you can choose the shape on the top section, I do this.

StarlightLady · 06/03/2023 21:06

@RoseApothacary - From my experience the body adapts and gets used to it after the first couple of sessions. To begin, you might want to take a couple of paracetamol beforehand. After that's it's like a walk in the park.

Don't have a wax just before a period and until your body gets used to it, and don't have sex the same day.

Thanks all!

@StarlightLady Thanks. I might just give it a go.
