False eyelash questions

If you wear false lashes, do you wear mascara too? If so, do you add it before or after the lashes? I'm thinking particularly if you only wear false eyelashes at the outer corner of your eye, it might look odd not having mascara on the other lashes?

Had false lashes for my wedding and loved how they looked, but have never managed to get them to stick in the right position comfortably when trying to put them on myself. Have had lash extensions once in the past but the cost and maintenance aren't for me.

Any other false lash application tips welcome!

The people I know who wear them do put mascara on.
I have never managed to put them on so have given up.
I briefly toyed with ordering the magnetic ones that stick to eyeliner after seeing a speedy demo, of someone who had never worn them before, easily putting them on but for £30 I didn’t want to risk it.

Yes I put mascara on before the lashes 😊. I also leave the glue set on the lashes for at least 5 minutes before applying them 😊 hope that helps.

Thanks. So if you do have mascara on, then presumably when you remove the mascara with eye make up remover, the lashes also come off, i.e. they're single use only?

Only need a little coat of mascara. You can re use the lashes for upto a week or more if you look after them by taking the glue off (with tweezers) when you remove them. I also have a lash case to put them in 🤣 sometimes I leave them on overnight and they still look great the next day if they were put on good the day before!

I really want to master lashes. Like you I had falsies for my wedding but can't seem to do them myself.

Things I've learnt over past 6 months of wearing falsies. I put mascara on my own lashes first then curl. Trim lashes if needed. Let the glue go tacky for a good few minutes. Use tweezers or similar to really get the lashes right into the lash line. Takes a good few times (or weeks in my case) to get it right so you dont see your lashes under. I then let set for a few more minutes then squeeze my lashes and the falsies together. I then put a very light tinge of mascara on. I use subtle powder eyeliner.

I can leave mines overnight and if not a rough night lol I can wear them the next day if needed.

I use my waterproof eye make up remover to clean them. I put them in a wee dish and squeeze some on and leave for an hour or so then the glue just peels off and mascara cleans off. I find tweezers to peel the glue off can damage the lashes If not careful. I then pat them dry and they're good to go. I leave them curled round a makeup brush to keep their shape. I'd say I can get a good 6-8 uses before they're ready for the bin.

I use eyelure naturals no.22. They are really subtle and great for every day wear. I sometimes use the volume no. 101 or 83. These are for night but not too in your face.

I can recommend Amor lashes. I don't wear mascara with them ☺️

They last up to a week! And super easy to apply.

I only like the half lashes, I find them irritating when they're in the inner corner of my eye so I put one coat of mascara on and curl then I put the glue on the lashes, let it sit for at least 3 minutes so it becomes tacky then apply and do one more coat of mascara.

I find it much easier to use the half lashes than the full ones.

@MrsBargain are they individuals? Do they stay intact properly for a full week?x

I do as my eyelashes are blonde, then out magnetic lashes on top.

I use these and they are VERY easy! I use them every day all day for months too. Loads of different styles.. Love mine.

The ones I use are "clusters" so I use about 3 clusters per eye!

Yes they do last a week now I've got the hang of applying them
