I am looking for a plain (proper) swimsuit not beachy type one, which has a built type bra or support. Please help?

Bravissimo have sports swimsuits with built in bras

Findyourneutralspace · 03/03/2023 20:57

I’ve had good cozzies from Pour Moi

BeingAwake · 03/03/2023 20:59

Decathlon is often good for this.

nancyglancy · 03/03/2023 21:03

Just bought the speedo one from Bravissimo. £66 made me wince but has a soft cup bra in large sizes.

Badfootkk · 03/03/2023 21:06

Yes like the bravissimo one, but £65 quid, gulp😮

How supportive are you talking? Full on wires etc or a decent nip covering? I have loads of swimsuits, and am pretty booby. My favourite for ‘proper swimming’ is from Long Tall Sally.

It’s this one in a different colourway: www.longtallsally.com/lts-tall-black-blue-contrast-active-contour-swimsuit-p

It's for my daughter. She is about 34ff so needs something quite supportive. She keeps buying primark type ones, but they are not really fit for purpose. I would like to spend about £30/£40 ideally.

Ah, Ok - I’m a similar size and the LTS one is great. I thought it might be a bit long in the body (I’m 5ft 7ins) but it’s really not.
Have a look on there. I was pleasantly surprised.

Findyourneutralspace · 03/03/2023 21:16

I also have this which I love but might be a bit mumsy for DD…

I’ve been really happy with the quality of all the cozzies I’ve had from LTS

M&S are really good for swim suit staples. I have the black tummy control one and it has bra support with adjustable straps

Do you have link to the m&s one? I had a look but couldn't see it? Thank you for the suggestions BTW.

Deakin & Blue swimsuits are designed specifically to be supportive

Was it this one?

I know they're more expensive but I really do recommend bravissimo, I have one and it's so supportive, flattering and still looks brand new.

Otherwise try brastop.com - all bigger bust sizes in various brands but heavily discounted end of lines etc

Slimjimtobe · 03/03/2023 21:40

I think you cannot beat Speedo and I swim about 4 times a week - they don’t have inbuilt support but they just are supportive

Emmagr1 · 03/03/2023 21:40

Yes, this is the one I have. I'm a 36F and feel supported.

hotchocdrinker · 03/03/2023 21:41

I was just about to come on and recommend the M&S one you linked to.

Florence4170 · 03/03/2023 21:43

I've got a couple of lovely ones from next. I'm 32GG. I don't know how to link, I'll have a look and see if I can do it,

Can I ask how you size to account for boobs? I'm 38H!

Florence4170 · 28/06/2023 23:32

@nancyglancy
So sorry I didn't see your post until now. I don't particularly like sized swimwear, because I feel very booby in it and I prefer a high neck. I think my costumes are a 12. If I were you I would try a couple of sizes, order them online and just return if no good. Sorry not to be more helpful.
